Back tie
The back tie style is for the fashionista! Take your look to the next level by adding a bandana style look to your scarf. Simple fold your scarf in half into a triangle and wrap it around your neck, tying a knot at the back, creating a triangle look on your neck.
Draped over front
The draped over front style is simple and elegant. You can fold your scarf either into a triangle or rectangle and simply throw it over your shoulders for a laid back, relaxed look.
Front tie
The front tie style is an absolute classic way to style any scarf. Simply fold your scarf into a triangle and wrap it around your neck, tying a knot at the front.

Some say honey can improve both short and long-term memory, especially in menopausal and post-menopausal women!!! Drinking honey in tea with lemon can ease throat pain which is great to know as we enter our cooler months. The healing components of honey are also used in many cosmetic skin and hair preparations, not only for their antiseptic and antioxidant potential but for the soothing and conditioning effects. Honey lubricates the skin and holds onto moisture making it an ideal ingredient in the production of beauty products ranging from lip balms, facial scrubs to shampoo.

Meet our gorgeous young beekeeper, Joe!
Joe is in his final year at Brisbane Grammar school and I am proud to say was the Dux last year!! He started beekeeping on his 16th birthday with a hive in his backyard. The hobby immediately captured his interest and grew into a deep passion, and his apiary expanded soon after. He has helped several new beekeepers start and manage their own hives, and now he is the proud owner of Mellifer Honey ( named for the honey bee, Apis mellifera ) as a sideline to his studies.

TELL ME ABOUT YOU. HOW DID YOU BECOME A FASHION DESIGNER?
As a young girl, I always loved clothes and fashion. I could not wait to go shopping at the start of each season to see the new fashions in the shops and buy new outfits. I have always loved to create and as a teenager, I would spend hours at fabric shops and making outfits to wear to dances, often inspired by video clips. After year 12, I studied fashion, majoring in design and pattern making. Since then, I have worked for a few different companies and labels as a lifestyle clothing designer. Lula Soul is definitely my favourite.
WHO IS THE LULASOUL WOMAN?
The Lula Soul woman is a confident person with an eye for detail. She requires her clothing to be comfortable and practical, to allow her to get through her busy day while looking fabulous. The Lula Soul woman is sure to get plenty of compliments wherever she goes.
WHAT IS YOUR INSPIRATION WHEN DESIGNING A RANGE?
I’m so lucky to live in Queensland with our amazing beaches and sunny skies. I take inspiration from all the colours and beauty around me. I design clothes to make people feel happy and confident.
WHAT WAS YOUR MAIN FOCUS WHEN DESIGNING THE LULASOUL TRANSEASONAL RANGE?
My main focus with the Transeasonal range was to provide clothing that would link the seasons, coming out of a hot summer and transitioning into winter. These clothes are still light enough for the warmer days but can be layered with jackets and jeans for the cooler nights.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PIECE FROM THE MAY COLLECTION?
I'm loving the Otto print with its muted colour tones in all the colour ways. I'm having trouble deciding between the top and the dress.
WHAT DO YOU DO TO MAINTAIN YOU?
I relish long walks on the beach. It is my form of mediation and relaxation, taking in all it has to offer to the senses. After a long walk, I feel reset and ready to take on the new week.
WHAT DO YOU NEVER LEAVE HOME WITHOUT?
I never leave home without telling my family that I love them.
HOW HAS LULASOUL EVOLVED OVER TIME?
I have worked for the company for 10 years now. Lula Soul has evolved from using simple shapes and block prints to using many different forms of prints, embroidery and a vast amount of continually evolving shapes. I make it my duty to reduce the amount of non-recyclables as much as possible and only use ethical manufacturers.
WHAT IS YOUR FASHION MOTTO?
I believe that "you should wear the clothes; the clothes should not wear you". Meaning that you should always feel and look comfortable and at ease in the clothes you wear. They should be a reflection of your personality. There is nothing worse than seeing someone struggle in clothes that are too tight, or heels that are too high

Let's talk about viscose
Viscose is probably the most misunderstood of all fabric fibres. Originally known as artificial silk as it has a similar drape and smooth feel to luxurious silk. It is not a natural fabric but nor is it a synthetic fabric.
Viscose is made from tree wood pulp , such as pine, beech, eucalyptus and more recently from bamboo. The manufacturing process can be summarised in five steps:
- The tree is chipped into wood pulp and dissolved into a solution forming a brown wood pulp.
- The wood pulp is then washed, cleaned and bleached.
- To create the fibres, the pulp is treated to create a “viscose” solution.
- The viscose solution is then forced through a spinneret machine which creates filaments called regenerated cellulose.
- The regenerated cellulose is spun into yarn which can then be woven or knit into viscose rayon fabric.
Viscose’s myriad of brilliant qualities include:
- It is lightweight.
- Drapes beautifully
- Has a similar breathability to cotton making for stylish Summer wear
- It does not trap heat
- It’s low permeability makes it hypoallergenic
- Produces beautiful, vivid colours
- Is biodegradable because it comes from a renewable source
- Has a luxurious look at an economical price

Dressing For Your Body Shape
Dressing to suit your body shape can be hard work, (as we know) everyone’s body shape is extremely unique and beautiful. We believe fashion is all about feeling great in what you wear and expressing yourself through your clothing. To help you find pieces for your body shape, we’ve created a guide to help you.
THE APPLE
The Apple body shape is more rounded throughout the mid-section of the body. Pieces that skim over the midsection of the body without clinging is the perfect fit for the apple figure. Items that accentuate the empire line or are an A-line or bias cut are the perfect shapes for the apple as they take the attention away from the mid-riff.
THE PEAR
The Pear body shape is a smaller bust and wider hips. Clothing pieces that are roomy and fall away from the hips on the bottom half of the body are perfect as it will streamline the bottom half. Wrap dresses or ‘fit-and-flare’ shapes are great as it defines the waist and flounces in the skirt.
THE HOURGLASS
The Hourglass figure has both bust and hips with a smaller waist. Dresses that are fitted to the body and accentuate the waist are perfect for the hourglass figure. Waist belts and wrap dresses will show off your unique shape and accentuate your curves.
THE LEAN COLUMN
The Lean Column figure is a straight up and down figure. Dresses and skirts that flare from the hips will help to add volume and shape to the body. Shift dresses and straight dresses will also be perfect for this figure as these shapes will flow seamlessly over the hips. Wrap dresses and belts are also a perfect way to bring in the waist.
